3 Starting Pitchers Minnesota Twins Should Add This Offseason

The Minnesota Twins fell apart down the stretch last season. The pitching didn’t hold up and the hitting stopped producing. It was as ugly of a failure as you could have written up. The positive is that there are plenty of pieces to build around in 2025 with hopes of returning to the postseason. Rocco Baldelli having ample pitching will always be imperative in any season the Twins hope to be competitive. Last year a handful of rookies established themselves as realistic big league options. Still, to bet on David Festa, Zebby Matthews, and Simeon Woods Richardson, would again expose a lack of depth. Anthony DeSclafani was a throw-in from the Jorge Polanco trade, and if he had been healthy, could have at least provided another veteran option. Free agents like Luis Severino, Sean Manaea, and Andrew Heaney could all offer different levels of intrigue this offseason.
