Arizona Diamondbacks fans in whirlwind after 9th inning comeback

PHOENIX — Baseball is a game of whirlwind emotions, and Arizona Diamondbacks fans know that feeling all too well after its walk-off victory against the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-4.

The game didn’t start well for the Diamondbacks. They trailed early on and could never get the offense to get going. Even with opportunities with runners in scoring position, none were cashed in. Some fans were already throwing the towel, exasperated with the lack of offense and nearly being shut out for a second game in a row, 0-4.

Everything started to change rapidly in the bottom of the 9th inning. With key hits by Alek Thomas, Corbin Carroll, and Jake McCarthy, the Snakes were able to tie the game 4-4. After Brewers pitcher Trevor Megill intentionally walked Josh Naylor to load the bases with one out, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. would come up to the plate and hit a sac fly to get the winning run in. The Diamondbacks, losing 0-4, would score five runs to win it all. The fan feeling was all over the place, many not believing what just happened.

One point is certain: the Snakes love to create chaos, and the fans will be there with them through every bit of it.
