The start of Spring Training is not far out for the Los Angeles Dodgers, with pitchers and catchers set to report to Camelback Ranch on Feb. 10. The group will then hold their first workout the following day.

The Dodgers’ report date is slightly earlier than the rest of the league with the exception of the Chicago Cubs, who report to their facility on Feb. 9. Both the Dodgers and Cubs need the slight head start as they open the 2025 season on March 18 in Japan for the Tokyo Series.

Traditional Opening Day otherwise is scheduled for Thursday, March 27.

With camps poised to open in the coming days, New Era released this year’s iteration of Spring Training hats. For the Dodgers it again amounts to using the cursive capital “D” logo.

On the side of the cap is the official Cactus League logo for 2025 Spring Training, which is present for every team hat.

The Dodgers first began implementing the “D” logo onto their hats during Spring Training in 2016. Before then, they had only ever had two hat logos in their history with the interlocking “LA” and Brooklyn “B”. Officially, this remained the case even with the introduction of the cursive capital “D” logo as it was strictly utilized for Spring Training and batting practice hats.

That all changed in 2021 with Nike’s first iteration of the Dodgers City Connect jerseys. The new design was a simple word mark that read “Los Dodgers”.

With Nike’s second attempt at a Dodgers City Connect jersey in 2024, the cursive capital “D” made its official debut as it was combined with the traditional interlocking “LA” to form a singular logo.

Dodgers Spring Training hats history

Among other hats the Dodgers have won for Spring Training was a blue version with the trademark “LA” logo that was outlined in white for 2022 and 2023.

In 2020 and 2021, Dodgers Spring Training hats featured the “LA” logo with the Dodgers baseball script design inside of it.

The Dodgers have now used the script “D” logo for their Spring Training cap in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2024 and 2025.
