The Los Angeles Dodgers (2-0) have already played two games but are set to play on Opening Day like all the other teams in the league.
It has been a few days since the Dodgers played in the two-game Tokyo Series against the Chicago Cubs. The Dodgers had their talented Japanese pitchers Yoshinobu Yamamoto and rookie Roki Sasaki start in games one and two for Los Angeles.
Los Angeles will play its first home and domestic game of the season on Thursday, Mar. 27, in game one of a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers. The Dodgers are moving ahead in game week, as the team announced on Sunday.
The Dodgers have announced two-time Cy Young Award winner and first-year Dodger Blake Snell will be the starter on Thursday.

Although Snell has played two spring training games for the Dodgers, he will play his first official game for the Dodgers in a game that fans and media will highly anticipate.
During his lone season with the San Francisco Giants, Snell posted a 3.12 ERA and recorded 145 strikeouts across 20 games. His most dominant campaign came the year before with the San Diego Padres in 2023 when he put up a 2.25 ERA and a career-best 234 strikeouts over 32 starts.
Now with the Dodgers, Snell is set to be one of the most intriguing players to watch in 2025. With a loaded roster and the anticipation of Shohei Ohtani’s pitching debut for Los Angeles, the season promises plenty of excitement.
