The New York Mets suffered a surprising loss on Tuesday, falling to the Minnesota Twins by a 6-3 final. With this, the Mets now sport an 11-6 record on the season, while the Twins have improved to a 6-12 record.

With the significant differences in their records, the Mets were naturally expected to win. However, they had an off game, and they have now made a roster move following it.

While speaking to reporters, Mets manager Carlos Mendoza announced that pitcher Justin Hagenman has been promoted to the Mets' major league roster and will pitch in the team's series finale against the Twins.

This is exciting news for Hagenman, as he is now set to make his major league debut. The 28-year-old will aim to impress, as it would help his chances of sticking around on the Mets' roster.

Hagenman joined the Mets organization during the offseason and had been pitching for Triple-A Syracuse before earning this call-up. In three appearances with Syracuse this campaign, he has a 0-1 record, a 6.97 ERA, and 12 strikeouts. This is after he posted a 4-6 record and 4.91 ERA in 28 appearances for Triple-A Worcester last season.

It will now be interesting to see how much of an impact Hagenman can make after earning this big opportunity with the Mets from here.
