Minnesota Roster Moves 4/19/25

The Twins enter play today with a 7-13 record and have lost six of their last ten games. They lost game one of their three game series with the Braves last night six to four. They will look to rebound this evening when they play game two. After wrapping up this series, the Twins head back home. They will host the White Sox and Angels for three games apiece. The Twins have announced today before the game they are activating Brock Stewart off the injured list. They will be sending Kody Funderburk back to Triple-A. Minnesota is doing whatever they can with the bullpen right now trying to find the right mix of arms. The offense is the bigger issue at the moment.

Brock Stewart

The Twins have activated the right hand pitcher from the 15 day injured list. Stewart has not pitched this year for the Twins. He has been on the shelf with a hamstring injury. He has pitched in two games for the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels during his rehab stint in Single-A. In Two games he has pitched 1.2 innings with a 0.00 ERA, 0.00 WHIP, and has not allowed a hit. Stewart’s recorded five outs in Single-A, all of them coming by way of strikeouts.

Kody Funderburk

The Twins have optioned Funderburk to Triple-A where he will continue his season with St.Paul. Funderburk has pitched four innings over two games with the Twins this year. He has allowed three hits, two runs, one home run, one walk, and striking out five. Funderburk has a 4.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and a .200 batting average.
