Pete Alonso is off to a hot start to the 2025 season, and it appears life away from the field is going just as well for the New York Mets star.
On Saturday morning, Alonso and his wife, Haley, shared the news that they are expecting their first child together.
The couple shared a series of photos from their pregnancy shoot in an Instagram post that Haley captioned, "baby alonso 2025 we can’t wait for this next chapter of becoming mom and dad."
Haley Alonso, whose maiden name is Haley Walsh, is originally from the Boston, Mass., area. She met Pete in 2015 while the Mets slugger was playing in the Cape Cod Baseball League. The two got engaged in 2018 and married in 2021.
Pete Alonso signed a two-year, $54M extension with the Mets during the winter following a lengthy negotiation period. The deal includes an opt-out clause that he can exercise after the 2025 season.
Pete Alonso has been locked in at the plate through the early part of the year. He is batting .292 with three home runs, 10 RBI and a 1.183 OPS through seven games.
