Cowboys Meet With Fastest College Running Back

The Dallas Cowboys have made a few moves to bolster their running backs this offseason, including signing proven guys like Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders. Now they could be interest on getting a younger talent in the backfield.

The team has completed a number of visits with some of the best guys at the position in the upcoming draft class, and one of the more intriguing guys is speedy Virginia Tech back Bhayshul Tuten.

He had the best 40-yard dash time among running backs at this year's Draft Combine with a 4.32, as well as the best vertical jump and 10-yard split. That athleticism is something that could intrigue the Cowboys and make them want to draft him on Day 1 or 2.

Tuten finished his senior year at Virginia Tech with over 1,200 yards from scrimmage and 17 total touchdowns. He did all of this while averaging a very impressive 6.3 yards per carry, which was one of the best marks in all of college football.

While the combination of Williams and Sanders could be solid, it might not be enough to propel the Cowboys to where they would like to be by the end of the season. Drafting a guy like Tuten could be a gamble that could pay off for Dallas and give them a solid young running back going forward.
