Many players from the Las Vegas Raiders having been saying how impressive Tre Tucker has been during the off season. Everyone has been making note of how much the second year wide out from Cincinnati has developed. It’s looking like Tucker is on track to become newly named starter at quarterback Gardner Minshew’s second favorite target.
Tre Tucker put all of his work on display against the Dallas Cowboys in their preseason game. During the first quarter, Tucker he had three receptions for 66 yards. The highlight for the Raiders offense was when Tucker when has highlight reel catch on a 48 yard catch on a go route. He wasn’t done there though. He made an impact on special teams as well with a 43 yard punt return.

“Obviously going into Year 2, I think things are different,” Tucker said following the game. “I’m way more relaxed and more understanding that when the ball goes in the air, just come down with it. I’m a big play guy so just continuing to do that and do it really well.”
Not everyone could say that they get to practice with one of the best wide receivers in the league. That’s something that Tucker doesn’t take for granted as he can lead on All-Pro wide out Devante Adams for advice on how to improve his craft.
“To watch the evolution of him and know is mentality, his aim going out there, he’s a very driven young player,” Adams said of Tucker. “He’s doing all the right things right now to put himself in position to keep getting better. I feel like I got a son on the team in the most brotherly way. … I love nothing more here but to help anybody, but especially that kid.”
Tucker putting everything together gives the Raiders another weapon on offense which will give Adams relieve to the point where defenses will have to account for other receivers on the roster. That’s a good problem for Minshew to have as he’s known to spread the ball all over the field.
