Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Gary Payton are widely considered the greatest players in Thunder/Sonics lore. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has officially entered the chat.
On Tuesday, SGA eclipsed Kevin Durant as the fastest player in franchise history to reach 10,000 points, getting there in his 368th game. Mind you, these numbers don't include the 889 points he scored as a rookie for the Clippers before being traded to OKC in 2019-20.

That wasn't the only historic feat achieved by the Toronto native when his Thunder beat the Celtics, 118-112, in a possible NBA Finals preview.
The MVP frontrunner scored over 20 points, 34 to be precise, for the 60th consecutive time this season, joining Durant, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant as the fourth player since the NBA-ABA merger to sustain such a streak, and seventh overall. Only Wilt Chamberlain maintained the streak on two separate occasions, scoring over 20 points across 80 consecutive games in the 1961-62 and 1963-64 seasons.
With 16 games left, SGA has a realistic chance of surpassing Durant, Bryant, Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the list. Jordan scored over 20 in 69 consecutive games in 1990-91 en route to his second MVP award.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the 7th player EVER to record 60 straight games with 20+ PTS in a single season, joining:

Earlier in the season, SGA joined Jordan as only the second player ever to record 30+ points in 40+ games over three consecutive seasons.
It's not just his consistency but his efficiency that has placed him among the all-time greats. Gilgeous-Alexander is on the verge of joining Jordan as the only guard in history to average over 30 points at 50 percent shooting for three consecutive seasons, a feat that eluded other greats such as Bryant, Stephen Curry and Robertson.
The Toronto native is on his way to becoming an all-time great himself. He's all but certain to clinch his first scoring title (32.8) and MVP award this season.
