Former West Virginia University tight end Jack Sammarco revealed his commitment to the University of Alabama Wednesday night. After sitting out his first year in Morgantown, Sammarco appeared in all 13 games last season as a redshirt freshman.

The Alabama Crimson Tide have officially landed West Virginia transfer tight end Jack Sammarco, adding much-needed depth to the position. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound redshirt freshman played in all 13 games for the Mountaineers last season, primarily serving as a blocker.

Tight End Jack Sammarco Enters the Transfer Portal

West Virginia University tight end Jack Sammarco announced on social media Thursday afternoon he will enter his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal. “First and foremost, I want to thank coach Neal Brown, coach Blaine Stewart, coach Nysewander, and coach Rodriguez for giving me the opportunity to play at West Virginia University,” Sammarco said.
