With many players returning to practice today for their respective teams, a few previously reassigned before the 4 Nations Face-Off break will be recalled.
A familiar name has hit the wire. On Tuesday, in the middle of the NHL’s break for the 4 Nations Face-Off, the Minnesota Wild placed forward Devin Shore on waivers.

It’s good news for the Wild, who are likely freeing up roster space to activate star winger Kirill Kaprizov from injured reserve and depth piece Jakub Lauko from LTIR ahead of Wednesday’s matchup against the Oilers.

Their spots on the active roster will remain open over the holiday break, and the pair of demotions will allow them to exit their LTIR pool and begin accruing cap space again over the next few days.
On Monday, the Minnesota Wild placed forward Devin Shore on waivers. If he were to clear on Tuesday, he is eligible to be assigned to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Iowa Wild.
The Wild brought up forwards Ben Jones and Devin Shore from AHL Iowa on Sunday, per a team release. One or both could make their Wild debuts on Tuesday against the Blues.

Some depth down the middle for the team from the State of Hockey. In a midst of a flurry of signings, the Minnesota Wild announced they have signed forward Devin Shore to a one-year, two-way contract.
Last season, the Iowa Wild struggled as their veterans were continually pulled up to Minnesota to fill the significant holes due to injury. One priority of Bill Guerin’s on Free Agency Day is to beef up Iowa’s lineup with veteran players who are also able to be pulled up to Minnesota if necessary.
