The NFL has cracked down on taunting in 2021 and no play has put the policy under the microscope more than the penalty Cassius Marsh received during the Chicago Bears' 29-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9.
Marsh said after the fact it was "pretty clear to everybody who saw it that I wasn't taunting," and plenty of individuals posting about the matter on Twitter and other platforms have agreed with his assessment.
Moments before the flag was thrown, Marsh had sacked Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on third down, which would have likely forced the Steelers to punt. Marsh did a "spinning jump kick" to celebrate.
