The Cincinnati Bengals signed former HBCU defensive star Joshua Pryor on August 7th. The 6’4, 280-pound defensive lineman is a second-year player out of Bowie State who spent his rookie season with the Washington Commanders after wrecking CIAA backfields for Bowie State.

Bengals Announce Five Moves Including Placing DE Cam Sample On IR

The Cincinnati Bengals announced a series of roster moves on Wednesday.  The full list includes: Bengals signed DE Andre Carter and DT Joshua Pryor. Bengals placed DE Cam Sample on injured reserve.  Bengals waived P Austin McNamara and WR Tre Mosley Sample recently tore his Achilles and will miss the 2024 season, so this move was expected.

The Washington Commanders begin the on-field portion of the offseason on Friday with a three-day rookie minicamp. On Tuesday, the Commanders made some roster moves to meet the NFL’s 90-man roster deadline.

Commanders Cut Three Players

The Washington Commanders announced Tuesday that they’ve waived LB Brandon Bouyer-Randle, CB D’Angelo Mandell and DE Joshua Pryor. Pryor, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Bowie State back in May of last year.

Commanders Place LB Jamin Davis On IR, Promote DE Joshua Pryor

The Washington Commanders announced they have placed LB Jamin Davis on injured reserve.  To fill the open roster spot, the team promoted DE Joshua Pryor from the practice squad.  Davis, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Commanders back in 2021.
